Every overlay is built once and reused across as many links as you want. Change the CTA and every link carrying it changes with it.

The types

TypeWhat it isUse it when
CardHeadline, message, button, optional logo. The default. You have something to say and one thing to click.
BannerA single strip along the edge of the page.Short message, minimum intrusion, mobile-heavy audiences.
TextJust words and a link. You want it to read as a note, not an ad.
ImageAn image card with headline and button.Product shots, book covers, event promos.
Image linkA clickable image, nothing else.A designed banner that already carries the message.
Email captureAn email field, a success message, an optional redirect and webhook. You want the address, not the visit.
VideoAn embedded video in the overlay.A demo or a face is worth more than a paragraph.
HiddenNo overlay at all — the page is framed and tracked. You want the analytics without showing anything.

Position

Four corners: bottom left, bottom right, top left, top right. Bottom left is the default and the safest — most sites put their own sticky elements bottom right, and two boxes fighting for the same corner is a bad look on somebody else's page.

Delay

The overlay waits one second by default before appearing. Set it to 0 to show immediately, or raise it if you would rather let the reader start reading first — a CTA that lands after somebody is invested is a different offer than one that lands on arrival.

Colours and branding

Background, text, button and button text are all yours to set, along with a logo. On the free plan a small “Powered by Visib” badge shows on the overlay; Pro can switch it off in Settings.

Email capture, specifically

Addresses land in Leads in your dashboard. You can also set a success message, send people somewhere after they subscribe, and point a webhook at your own system so the address arrives wherever you keep your list.

Frequently asked

Can a visitor close the overlay?

Yes. Every overlay has a dismiss control. An overlay people cannot get rid of makes them leave the page altogether, which costs you the click you paid for.

Does the Visib badge always show?

On the free plan, yes — it is what the free plan costs. Pro can turn it off in Settings.
