Affiliate link tracking for marketers and influencers
Long affiliate URLs are hard to trust in a bio or newsletter. Visib gives you a branded short link on your domain, click analytics on every share, optional UTM parameters and tracking pixels, plus a CTA overlay so your offer stays on screen after the reader lands on someone else's site.
Get the most out of your affiliate links
An affiliate tracking link only pays when someone clicks and buys. If you cannot see which tweet, email, or YouTube description drove the click, you are guessing which content to repeat. Visib records each click on the short links you create: totals over time, referrers, and device breakdowns on Starter. Business adds advanced analytics for deeper reporting.
Paste the merchant's long URL once and share the short link on your domain (custom slugs like go.yourbrand.com/review are on Business). The dashboard shows whether traffic spiked after a launch post or stayed flat.
- ✓Starter (9 €/mo): 10 vlinks, 1 custom domain, click analytics, UTM builder
- ✓Business (19 €/mo): unlimited links, 5 domains, advanced analytics, custom slugs, snapshots, no Visib badge on CTAs

UTMs and per-link tracking pixels
Click counts in Visib are the baseline. Many affiliates also need campaign tags in Google Analytics or ad platform pixels on the link itself. On each vlink you can append UTM parameters to the destination URL with the built-in UTM builder (Starter and above).
You can also attach tracking pixels per link so third-party tags fire when someone clicks through. Supported IDs include GA4 measurement IDs, Meta Pixel, Google Ads (AW- tags), TikTok Pixel, and LinkedIn Insight Tag. Step-by-step setup is in the analytics and pixels guide.
One tracking link for affiliate campaigns
Use UTMs per channel, or custom slugs on Business, so a single merchant offer does not blur together in your reports. A tracking link for affiliate content in email can use utm_medium=email while the same product on Instagram uses utm_medium=social. Visib still records the click even when the visitor never sees the long URL.
Make your affiliate links even more valuable
Shortening and tracking solve the first click. The harder problem is what happens after: the reader lands on the merchant's site and forgets who sent them. Visib loads the destination in a frame and places your CTA on top (button, bar, text, or image). Your logo, promo code, or newsletter signup stays visible while they read the review or sales page you linked to.
That pattern is the same reason affiliates use tools like Sniply. Visib bundles the overlay with branded domains and flat monthly pricing. Compare both on Visib vs Sniply or browse every CTA overlay tool on the compare hub.
Snapshots when the merchant blocks iframes
Some publisher sites block embedding. On Business, Visib can capture a pixel-perfect snapshot so your CTA still shows. That matters when your best affiliate content lives on news sites or social platforms that refuse a normal frame.
Add a call-to-action to every link you share
Create a vlink from the dashboard or the Chrome extension. Choose overlay type, colors, and copy. Publish the branded URL in your bio, roundup post, or partner newsletter. Each click is logged; pixels and UTMs run on the way to the merchant if you configured them.
For real-world overlay ideas on partner links, see section 5 in CTA overlay examples.
Branded URLs vs cloaking (stay compliant)
Visib can keep your short URL in the address bar by framing the destination. That is useful for clean affiliate link tracking and on-brand sharing, but not every program allows it. Amazon Associates does not allow hiding that the click goes to Amazon. Use Amazon's own short links for those URLs. Do not frame Amazon affiliate destinations on Visib.
Masking a URL is also not a substitute for an FTC affiliate disclosure. Tell readers when you earn a commission, regardless of how pretty the link looks.
Technical details, white-hat vs risky uses, and when to use a plain redirect instead are in the link cloaking guide and the link cloaking tool comparison. This page focuses on tracking and shortening; that article owns deep cloaking queries.
Common questions
What is affiliate link tracking?
Affiliate link tracking means you know how many clicks each affiliate URL gets, where those clicks came from, and which campaigns drove them. A branded short link on your own domain gives you a clean URL to share, and Visib records each click in your dashboard. You can add UTM parameters to the destination and fire GA4, Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, or LinkedIn pixels on the link itself.
Is Visib an affiliate link shortener?
Yes. You paste a long affiliate URL, get a short link on a domain you control, and share it. Visib tracks clicks on that link. On Business you get custom slugs, advanced analytics, snapshots for sites that block iframes, and no Visib badge on your CTA. Paid plans only: Starter is 9 €/mo and Business is 19 €/mo.
Can I use Visib for Amazon affiliate links?
You can shorten and track clicks on Amazon affiliate URLs, but Amazon Associates does not allow hiding that the click goes to Amazon. Do not frame or cloak Amazon affiliate links on Visib. Use Amazon's own short links when the program requires the destination to stay obvious. A short link does not replace your FTC affiliate disclosure either.
How is affiliate link tracking different from link cloaking?
Tracking counts clicks and attributes them to campaigns. Cloaking keeps your branded URL in the address bar while the visitor reads the merchant page in a frame. Visib does both when you use the frame view, but cloaking has stricter program rules. For cloaking tools, limits, and when programs forbid masking, read our link cloaking comparison and the link cloaking guide.
Does Visib replace my affiliate network's reporting?
No. Your network or merchant still records conversions and commissions. Visib gives you click-level data on the links you share: totals, referrers, devices, and optional third-party pixels before the visitor reaches the merchant. Use both: network reporting for payouts, Visib for which posts, emails, and bios actually drove the click.
How does Visib compare to Sniply for affiliate marketers?
Sniply and Visib both add CTA overlays on shared links so your offer stays visible on the page you send people to. Visib starts at 9 €/mo, includes a UTM builder on Starter, and removes the Visib badge on Business at 19 €/mo. See the full Sniply comparison on our compare hub and the dedicated Visib vs Sniply page.
